Therapy Assistance & Support Services (TASS) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people we work with, including NDIS participants, their families, carers, and the allied health professionals we partner with. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information, and how you can access or correct your information.
We operate in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). As a provider of NDIS supports, we also comply with relevant obligations under the NDIS Act 2013 and the NDIS Practice Standards.
1. Who We Are
TASS provides therapy assistance and support services for adults with NDIS funding. Our therapy assistants work under the guidance of allied health professionals to implement therapy strategies in real-life environments, supporting participants at home, in the community, and within daily routines.
For the purposes of this policy, 'we', 'us', and 'our' refers to Therapy Assistance & Support Services (TASS).
2. What Personal Information We Collect

5. Sensitive Information
We handle sensitive information — including health information and disability-related information — with additional care. We only collect sensitive information where it is necessary to deliver our services, and only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
Sensitive information is not used for marketing purposes and is not disclosed to third parties except as outlined in Section 6 of this policy.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share your personal information with:

Allied health professionals directing or coordinating your supports

Support coordinators and plan managers involved in your NDIS plan

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not share personal information for commercial purposes unrelated to the delivery of our services.
7. Meta Pixel and Online Advertising
Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (operating Facebook and Instagram). The Meta Pixel allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, understand how people interact with our website, and deliver relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
The Meta Pixel may collect information including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken on our website. This information is shared with Meta in accordance with their Data Policy.
We do not use the Meta Pixel to collect or share sensitive personal information, including disability or health status. Our advertising targets are based on general interests and demographics only.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your Meta account settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info. You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
8. Data Storage and Security
We store personal information securely, using physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Access to personal information is restricted to staff and contractors who require it to perform their roles.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. NDIS-related records are retained in accordance with applicable recordkeeping obligations.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. If you have concerns about the security of your information, please contact us.
9. Access and Correction
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request corrections if the information is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
To make a request, please contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. In some circumstances, we may be unable to provide access — for example, where doing so would unreasonably impact the privacy of another individual. We will explain any refusal in writing.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance so we can attempt to resolve your concern.
