Therapy Assistance Sunshine Coast (TASC) has recently grown to be the Sunshine Coast's premier service for providing allied health assistance to children with special needs on the Sunshine Coast. The TASC program aims to provide families of children with special needs with the highest quality intensive home-based intervention, guided and directed by each individual child's allied health team. Therapy Assistants are trained to use provided therapy plans in concert with their skills, and their own playful creativity to create meaningful therapy interactions that help reinforce therapy provided by Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists and Physiotherapists. Parent company of the TASC program, Collaborative Partnerships, are constantly looking for potential new Therapy Assistants, as the demand for TASC therapy assistants is constantly increasing. If you love working with kids, have experience in working with children with Autism, love playing and helping children progress, then the TASC program is for you. Responsibilities Include:

Following detailed therapy programs as provided by local allied health professionals.

Using training and clinical skill to teach, help, encourage and facilitate children with mild to severe levels of disability and special needs.

Travel between homes and to/from our Therapy Assistance HQ.

Use creativity, clinical skill, and training to conduct therapy activities in-line with therapy plan, adjusting as needed to accommodate different levels of functioning and engagement.

To act with the highest level of ethical conduct and interpersonal skill.

To provide support and assistance to families touched by special needs.

Essential Criteria:
To be eligible to work as a Therapy Assistant with TASC, the following criteria apply

Have the right to live and work in Australia

Have documented experience working with children in an allied health, education or early learning setting (with references if possible).

Have a driver's licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.

Have at least 3 full days availability.
Preferred Criteria (not essential):
The following criteria is not essential however is very advantageous.

Have 2 years supervised experience in working with kids on the Autism Spectrum.

Experience in early intervention for children with special needs.

A graduate qualification in teaching, allied health or other related field.

Extra training or certification in disability related fields.
