How It Works

Child receives a diagnosis and is approved for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Child connects with community based allied health providers for early intervention services (Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, etc)

Child visits with allied health providers regularly for direct intervention, usually 45-60 minutes per week or fortnight

Each of the child's providers give parents a home therapy program to complete (often the parents ends up with 3-4 home intervention programs to complete)

Parents feel overwhelmed, burnt out, and are unable to complete the home intervention. Leading to poorer outcomes for children.

Parents have trained and experienced home-based TASC Therapy Assistants who assist in implementing home therapy programs (implemented by the family's preferred providers), in-turn boosting therapy intervention to up to 6 hours per week

Parents share the burden for home therapy and are relieved, children participate in more intensive home-based and family-centred intervention, leading to better outcomes.
